After nearly a decade of dedicated care, laughter, and deep connections with the West Seattle community, Dr. Reed is stepping away from Westview Dental to focus on family and personal healing. While this transition is filled with emotion, it also brings new beginnings—and we’re excited to introduce you to the husband-and-wife team continuing the Westview legacy: Dr. Serena Tham and Dr. Tom Vu.
Dr. Reed’s journey at Westview began with a vision: to create a space where patients could actually enjoy coming to the dentist. Over the years, that dream became reality. Many of you became friends, shared stories, and put your trust in Dr. Reed’s care. Whether it was swapping jokes, sharing life updates, or bonding over cool shoes, the relationships built here have meant everything.
“It’s hard to say goodbye to something that has meant so much,” said Dr. Reed. “But I’m comforted knowing that Dr. Tham and Dr. Vu share the same values that guided me—compassion, connection, and truly caring for people.”
Now, as life calls Dr. Reed back to California to be with his family and focus on healing from a challenging arm injury, he passes the baton to two compassionate, experienced professionals who share his philosophy of care.
Meet Dr. Tham and Dr. Vu
With over 20 years of dental experience each, Dr. Serena Tham and Dr. Tom Vu bring not only clinical excellence but also a deep commitment to patient-centered care. They believe in creating a supportive, educational environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their choices.
Originally from California, Drs. Tham and Vu relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2022 with their two children, Sophie and Ian, and their energetic golden retriever, Marley. They’re excited to join the West Seattle community and eager for your recommendations on favorite restaurants and outdoor adventures in the area.
